Today, we announce an expanded portfolio of international internship programs so every student can combine an international work experience with meaningful coursework to advance their academic achievements and their career readiness. ºÚÁÏÍø911now offers both full-time and part-time work-integrated experiential learning experiences to meet the needs of every student. Our portfolio of international summer internships is now available in 33 locations and includes:

• ºÚÁÏÍø911Intern + Study Abroad Program – available in 28 international cities, our new six-week, six-credit, summer program allows students to experience a part-time international internship, an internship seminar, and enroll in an academic course offered in-person by ºÚÁÏÍø911or online by ASU.
• ºÚÁÏÍø911Summer Global Internship Program – available in 33 international cities, our highly rated eight-week, six-credit summer program, ºÚÁÏÍø911Summer Global Internship, allows students to experience a full-time international internship and an internship seminar.

ºÚÁÏÍø911has built the largest network of academic and internship opportunities in the world so students can:

• Choose where they most want to study, then
• Find their ideal host company placement, and
• Pair it with an academic course that matches their needs and interests.

Highlights of CIEE’s New 6-week, 6-credit Intern + Study Abroad Program

The ºÚÁÏÍø911Intern + Study Abroad program model is a six-week, six-credit summer program comprised of:

• A part-time internship (100-120 work hours over six weeks, plus an embedded, in-person internship seminar worth 3 academic credits) and
• A 3-credit academic course in a subject most aligned with student needs from courses offered in-person at ºÚÁÏÍø911locations or ASU’s extensive portfolio of online courses.

CIEE’s Intern + Study Abroad program allows students to:

• Earn six credits in six weeks, making this program financial aid - eligible.
• Stay on track for graduation through in-person or online coursework.
• Gain invaluable work experience and an international network of colleagues that will advance each student’s career after graduation. 

Combinations of an international internship and a relevant academic course are limitless, including:

• Interning in Berlin with an architecture firm while taking the ºÚÁÏÍø911course ‘Berlin and the Politics of Building Sustainable Cities’
• Interning in Singapore as a business development intern for a manufacturing company while taking the ºÚÁÏÍø911course ‘Technopreneurship’
• Interning in Sydney with a health tech company while taking the ºÚÁÏÍø911course ‘Contemporary Challenges in Global Health’

ºÚÁÏÍø911expanded the network of locations that offer eight-week, full-time Summer Global Internship programs. Starting summer 2025, we have internship placements in Florence, Italy; Madrid and Palma, Spain; Tallinn, Estonia; Melbourne, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; Taipei, Greater China; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Yucatan, Mexico; and Legon, Ghana.
