Housing
ºÚÁÏÍø911Seoul offers diverse housing options to ensure you’re comfortable in your home away from home. With shared or single rooms off campus, we will strive for your accommodation preferences to be met. All housing options are in neighborhoods with convenient access to public transportation, shops, cafés, and eateries.
Standard Housing: Includes a double accommodation bedroom in a residence hall or shared apartment off campus, within a 30-minute commute to the ºÚÁÏÍø911center.
Select Plus Housing: Includes single rooms in a residence hall or shared apartment within a 40-minute commute of the ºÚÁÏÍø911center. Select housing requires an additional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive.
Meals
Meals are not provided as part of the program, but students may have access to facilities for preparing their own meals. Seoul offers an array of dining options, from street food vendors to upscale restaurants, allowing you to explore Korean cuisine at your leisure.
Academics
Students enrolling in the Open Campus Block program in Seoul have the flexibility to choose from a variety of disciplines within seven different tracks, including Art and Architecture, Business, Communications, Journalism, and New Media, Global and Community Health, International Relations and Political Science, Language, Literature, and Culture, or STEM and Society.

- Use the Course Comparison Tools to compare classes offered across all Open Campus Block programs for each block:
- Mobile students studying for three blocks who wish to complete a lab course will be required to opt out of one course to remain within the program credit range.
- Many ºÚÁÏÍø911courses are available in multiple ºÚÁÏÍø911locations. To help ensure you are able to enroll in the courses you need, some courses may be facilitated as a Hybrid course by an instructor from a location that is separate from your own. In a Hybrid course, you will learn either face-to-face or online, depending on your location. However, regardless of your location, you will apply what you learn from the instructor and course materials in your location. Hybrid courses can be identified in the course list as those whose course codes end in “CIEE†– open the syllabus to see the instruction location, if known.
Language Classes
- Students may add the non-credit “Survival Korean†course to their course load during the on-site orientation.
Academic Projects
- Academic Projects will be offered onsite ) or remotely, dependent on availability and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Academic Project placement will be designed based on the student’s project learning goals, qualifications, resume, and availability of placements in location or within the Open Campus Block network either in-person or remotely. The process is highly individualized and goal-oriented. Students enrolled in an Academic Project will receive additional academic support that informs and enhances the placement experience.
- Students applying for an Academic Project must submit additional materials during the course selection process.
