Your Destination

Cobblestone streets, medieval bridges, and a castle overlooking dozens of churches, squares, and green spaces all contribute to the “City of a Hundred Spires†being recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Having shed its communist past and brimming with carefully preserved monuments from every period and style in its millennial history, Prague is a truly unique European city. Easy to explore on foot and on a student budget, the city abounds with festivals, live music, galleries, food markets, cafés, and much more.

ºÚÁÏÍø911Prague is located in the central neighborhood of VyÅ¡ehrad in a beautiful park-like setting atop one of Prague’s highest hills about 15 minutes from the Old Town area.

ºÚÁÏÍø911wants all our students to feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed while studying abroad. Local ºÚÁÏÍø911staff have provided details about conditions and cultural attitudes that students with specific identities might encounter in Prague.

Students should be prepared to spend two-thirds of each weekday in class or in class-related activities. Class attendance is strictly enforced both for classes and required co-curricular excursions.

Grading

The program is rigorous and demands regular preparation outside of class. Participation constitutes part of the overall assessment, and there is a strict attendance policy. Assessment is based on the individual’s overall performance in the course, including essays, coursework, and final examinations or papers. Students must check with their professors to find out exam and project presentation dates. Under no circumstances will ºÚÁÏÍø911alter deadlines or exam dates for study abroad students who have made conflicting travel plans. The U.S. grading scale of A-F is used.
