Overview

What did people like Albert Einstein, Franz Kafka, and Alphonse Mucha have in common? Their love for Prague! As Kafka describes in his metaphor, the “mother with claws,†Prague is a magical, intriguing, gripping city that will never let you forget it as you engage in its rich cultural, artistic, social, and business scenes.

Designed for students interested in psychology, the Summer Psychology program digs into the local, comparative, and multidisciplinary perspectives of neuroscience, social psychology, and the psychology of transition and transformation. This program will give you a deeper look into psychoanalysis and its leading proponent, Sigmund Freud, who was born in Moravia, the southeastern part of today’s Czech Republic.

Outside the classroom, students are encouraged to participate in numerous experiential opportunities, including creating artworks using psychoanalysis-inspired art techniques, a visit to a psychiatric clinic, a tour of Prague, and many other unique experiences.
